App Integrations (Zoom App & Google Meet Add-on)

MeetBackdrops offers optional integrations for video-calling platforms. These apply only if you choose to install or open them.

MeetBackdrops Zoom App

If you connect our Zoom App, we use Zoom's OAuth sign-in so you can apply backgrounds inside your Zoom client. Your Zoom access and refresh tokens are stored only in an encrypted, http-only cookie on your own device to keep you signed in — they are not stored on our servers. We do not access your Zoom meetings, recordings, chat, contacts, or any meeting content. You can disconnect at any time by clearing the cookie or removing the app from your Zoom account.

MeetBackdrops Google Meet Add-on

Our Google Meet add-on runs in the Meet side panel and requests no Google account permissions. It does not access your Google account, profile, contacts, calendar, or any meeting content. It loads our background catalog and records anonymous usage events (the image name and category when you download one) used only for popularity ranking. Applying a downloaded image as your background happens entirely within Google Meet's own visual-effects settings — the add-on cannot change your camera background for you.

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience on our website:

• Essential Cookies: Required for basic website functionality
• Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how visitors use our site
• Preference Cookies: Remember your settings and preferences
• Visitor ID (sb_visitor_id): An anonymous, randomly-generated identifier stored in your browser's local storage to understand return visit frequency. Cannot be used to identify you personally.
• Download Counter (sb_download_count): Tracks the number of free images downloaded in your current session to enforce fair-use limits.
• Subscription Token (sb_sub_token): Stored locally if you purchase a subscription, to authenticate your download access without requiring a login.
• Wishlist (sb_wishlist): Stores the IDs of HD images you have saved to your wishlist. This data never leaves your device — it is not transmitted to our servers.

You can clear all locally stored data at any time through your browser's settings. Doing so will remove your wishlist, download count, and subscription token.

We do not collect or store IP addresses.
